To make our idea come to life we needed collaborators to help us. We asked Véro Dumas from La Moufette Mauve if she would be interested in working with us on this project and she jumped on the opportunity. We previously worked with Véro in September for Davide's newest photography series which will be exhibited for the first time in May 2012. She did a great job at creating custom masks for 20 models and was on set with us for the 4 day shoot. This time around all of the work was done at her Studio on Cartier near Masson. We had the pleasure of assisting Véro with different tasks like punching arm hair on a silicone arm and prepping the base for an octopus tentacle. She gives private and group classes at her studio. Here she is talking about the tentacle we are creating for an installation piece which will be exhibited at Art Souterrain this weekend:
We have also been working with a very talented graphic designer to create pothole stickers which will be at the base of our installations. Her name is Amanda Di Pancrazio, she is a freelance graphic artist and animator living in Montreal. She has 5+ years of experience in graphic design, specializing in both 2D and 3D design. She is currently working on an a mixed media animated short about my struggles of learning to ride a bicycle. Check out her work here: www.thatgirlamanda.com.
